Most of us tend to hibernate through the cold, blustery months that make up winter. We cozy up by the fireplace and seek solace in a hot toddy. Photographer David Pavlina, however, does just the opposite.
Pavlina layers up and heads outdoors to capture the haunting beauty that exists during the time of year the rest of us hope speeds by. And his photos are proof that winter really is marvelous to see.

Lynn W. Conway, one of our founders and lead photographer, is in Paris right now—and we are VERY jealous.

lynnwyatt:

It’s been a very long day of traveling and little sleep however I was determined to at least walk around the Paris streets and take some pictures. Seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time was breathtaking. Hope you enjoy.  Bonsoir xoxo

Hi there, Lynn W. Conway, Facets photographer here. If you’ve seen our April/May issue then you know the beautiful Corri McFadden of eDrop-Off and VH1’s House of Consignment is on our cover. We had so many laughs during our photo shoot with Corri that the time just flew by. And the next thing I knew, I had three memory cards filled with pictures.

I must say, the hardest part of my job is deciding which handful of photos will make it into the magazine out of the hundreds I shoot. There were so many good photos to pick from Corri’s shoot, so we decided to publish a few here that didn’t make it in the mag but definitely deserve some love. Enjoy!
